So Its been like 6 months since I quit social media, no FB no IG, and I feel great! The downside of this would be there's less exposure. but I would say now I have more time and focus to work on projects. I kept my behance portfolio though, make sure to check it out!

RASPADO!! A virtual DRINK AND DRAW SESSION at Spudnik Press Cooperative!!
I would like to invite you all to a Drink and Draw Session at Spudnik Press! Mark your calendars: March the 3rd 2021 !!
Its gonna be a lot of fun!. The guys over a Spudnik Press wrote a very nice description of the process of Raspado:
Artist, printmaker, and muralist Rogelio Rosiles discovered the process for raspados or “scratch drawings” by accident while sanding down layers on his paintings. Now he fills his sketchbook with these colorful, textured drawings whose grainy finish is reminiscent of early, low-res, digital media. This simple process allows you to play and create on many levels by covering crayon wax with an acrylic coating and then scratching through the surface to reveal what’s hidden below. Scratch drawings feel a lot like printmaking because they work both forwards and backwards, by adding and subtracting, and you’re rewarded with a dramatic final reveal. It’s a wonderful way to play with simple, nostalgic materials and create happy accidents and surprises for yourself along the way.

So around 2012 I started a Cargo Collective site, but left it undone. So just recently I somehow remembered that I had it. I was editing it a little bit, come check it out , I definitely like the minimal layout of their sites. I might consider moving my site over there in the future.

I have been working with a very interesting company from Austin Texas, called Mercado sin nombre, they make small batch Mexican inspired food and beverages. So, for Dia de Los Muertos, I made this illustration of a Catrina. I think it came out nice. What do you think? check them out at @mercadosinnombre

Estoy trabajando en una nueva serie, con el concepto de los 5 elementos de la naturaleza. Lleva por titulo "Mahābhūta", según el Hinduismo y el Budismo, los elementos son 5, (a diferencia de occidente donde siempre nos enseñaron que solo eran 4), Agua, Aire, Tierra y Fuego, y el 5to es el Eter, el espacio, el elemento espiritual.

Tapete de semillas y marmolina

Fui invitado a participar en la exposición sobre el rebozo Uriangatense llamada "El Rebozo de Jaspe.. Una Tradición Mexicana" que se realizó en el Ex-Convento de Tiripetío, en.. pues.. Tiripetío, Michoacan.
para este evento realicé el diseño del cartel, y de las invitaciones. Pero tambien me invitaron a realizar un tapete, en esta ocasión utilicé Marmolina y Semillas, usualmente y por tradición Uriangatense se usa el aserrin pintado, pero ultimemente se ha estado usando la marmolina.
fue una tarde agradable en un recinto muy fresco, muy agusto. Gracias por la invitacion a Desarrollo Economico de Uriangato y al maestro Mario Baeza y a la Directora del Ex-convento, la Maestra Greta Trangay.
